It took me a year to figure it out, but today I finally did.
Whenever a weather forecast says "a few flurries", what it really means is "total whiteout".
Weather people seem to use sarcasm a lot when it comes to snow. Maybe they feel bitter and disillusioned because everybody blames bad weather on them.
